Commended by AVEDA!
Yes, we have been commended by AVEDA, no less! I’m so glad that just as we keep track of their environmental efforts, they are keeping track of ours!
If you read my most recent Blog, you will remember that one of Canada’s biggest packaging mag, Canadian Packaging, stated in an article about being GREEN, that Aveda had recycled over 37 plastic caps. We instantly thought, hey, we’ve done even better than Aveda…………and we let you know.
If you also read the comment shortly after by Evan Miller, of Aveda Corp., you’ll see that ‘yes, it was a typo.’ In fact, they have recycled “more than 90,000 lbs. of #5 plastic bottle caps.” I’m not sure exactly how many caps that is, but probably a lot.
I was thrilled to receive an email from Aveda Corp., and even more thrilled to read Paul’s comments:
“P.S. I commend you on your efforts to ensure that your carbon footprint is kept in check.”
There! Even here on the Rock, we’ve attracted the attention of one of the world’s largest corporations for our efforts to be truly green.
